Among Ken's more noteworthy transactions, he has: · Acted as bond counsel with regard to Washington County Hospital Authority's Adjustable Rate Demand Hospital Revenue Bonds, Series 2008 A (Washington Hospital Project). · Served as underwriter's counsel to PNC with regard to Robert Morris University Revenue Bonds, Series A of 2008. · Acted as bond counsel with regard to Fayette County Hospital Authority Adjustable Rate Demand Hospital Revenue Bonds, Series of 2007 (Fayette Regional Health System Project). · Served as underwriter's counsel to PNC with regard to Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Turnpike Multi-Modal Revenue Bonds, Series A of 2008. · Served as underwriter's counsel to PNC with regard to Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority Water & Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2008 (Fixed & Variable). · Acted as bond counsel with regard to Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority Economic Development Revenue Bonds Pooled Financing Program. Other more noteworthy recent transactions Ken worked on include serving as bond counsel in financing the acquisition of many hospitals and health care institutions by UPMC Health System; developing and serving as bond counsel in the first pooled financing program for industrial development projects in Pennsylvania; and designing a leaseback transaction that financed the adaptive reuse of the old Allegheny County Jail into a court facility. In addition to his municipal finance experience, Ken has experience in taxation, concentrating in tax issues affecting tax exempt organizations. He has represented many hospitals, universities and other tax exempt entities in developing and implementing plans for corporate reorganizations and joint ventures.
