Mr. sherman recently advised a client to not pay the agents involved, after a 1.5 year escrow. he advised this due to the listing agreement not being extended. The client failed to sign extensions send. But the point is mute. The fee is earned. Now his client will suffer hugh attorney fees, and the fee will be paid.Nothing new about this case. If all a seller had to do to get out of paying the agent, they would just extend the closing past the listing date! No listing is required by lw, to be paid.
