Kevin D. Sherlock is an associate in Mayer Brown's Chicago office and a member of the firm's Corporate & Securities practice. Kevin focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital investments, private investment fund formation and general corporate governance matters. He has represented financial and strategic buyers and sellers in connection with public and private mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and similar transactions, and he has represented investors in connection with equity investments in healthcare and biotechnology companies.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Kevin worked as an attorney in the Legal Information, Investigations and Prosecutions Division of the City of Chicago Department of Law, where he advised City departments on compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and represented the City in actions arising under FOIA. He graduated with high distinction from The University of Iowa College of Law in 2010, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Iowa Law Review, and received his B.A. from The University of Iowa in 2005, where he was also a letter-winner and five-year member of the Iowa football team.
