Kevin K. Ross, a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, is a trial lawyer who concentrates in counseling clients and resolving through litigation complex domestic and international business disputes. Mr. Ross is a member of the firm's Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation, and Latin America Practices.
Mr. Ross is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese. He has traveled extensively, and represents clients throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mr. Ross' practice encompasses a wide range of complex issues and have included disputes in the following areas:
· International, domestic and cross border litigation and arbitration of business disputes, disputes concerning the private placement of debt and equity securities, insurance and insurance coverage, judgment enforcement, and disputes stemming from mergers and acquisitions.
· Representation of insurers and insureds in director, officer and fiduciary matters, products liability, title insurance, casualty and wrongful death actions, property loss, health, life and disability claims, construction and general insurance liability coverage issue.
· Financial institutions and general creditors' rights litigation, and general bankruptcy and reorganizations.
· Protection of intellectual property rights, proprietary data, technology and related trade secrets, and franchise litigation.
· Post employment disputes, including covenants not to compete and other post-employment misconduct.
· Commercial disputes regarding aerospace, flight simulation, and commercial disputes involving the defense industry.
His prior work experience includes legal positions with large multinational law firms and an in-house position with a Fortune™ 150 company.
Mr. Ross earned his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law (1994), where he was a member of the University of Buffalo Environmental Law Journal and the recipient of the John and Mary Lane Merit Scholarship. He received his B.A. in statistical and applied mathematics from Vanderbilt University (1989). Mr. Ross is conversant in Spanish.
