Kevin focuses his practice on banking and finance matters representing lenders and investors in a wide variety of financing and real estate transactions. His practice includes negotiating commercial leases, involving industrial, office, restaurant, retail and cell tower rights. Kevin also provides legal guidance to a number of small and mid-sized businesses.
From 2006 to 2011, Kevin practiced law at two Kansas City firms, where he represented an international commodity brokerage firm in the negotiation and drafting of account control agreements and commercial guaranties involving national banking institutions. He also closed several transactions involving the purchase or sale of a small to mid-size business. Kevin drafted loan documents for multi-million dollar securitized, commercial loans and represented investors in early-stage companies, including the negotiation of investment terms and documents, and the receipt of tax credits through the Kansas Angel Investor Tax Credit Act. He also represented one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the Kansas City area in a sale of its assets to a global conglomerate.
