Professional Experience
Kimberley A. Gavin, Ph.D. focuses her practice on complex patent litigation with an emphasis on Hatch-Waxman and pharmaceutical and biotechnology litigation. Dr. Gavin also counsels clients in patent portfolio management. She also has experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and design patent prosecution.
Prior to joining the Firm, Dr. Gavin was an associate at Baker Botts LLP and a Patent Agent at Fish and Neave LLP (now part of Ropes and Gray). Before law school, Dr. Gavin earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she studied the regulation of DNA replication.
