Kimberly K. Dodd is senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm's IP Litigation and Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practices, as well as the Life Sciences Industry Team. Her practice includes patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret counseling and litigation.
Ms. Dodd has worked on a variety of disputes involving different technologies, including mechanical devices, electronics, software, medical devices, financial services, and genetic analysis.
She has tried cases in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, the Western District of Wisconsin, and Wisconsin state courts. Her trial work includes first- and second-chair experience. Ms. Dodd also has experience in other popular IP venues, including the Eastern District of Texas and the District of Delaware.
Ms. Dodd's practice includes pro bono work. She is a mediator for guardianship cases pending before the Children's Division of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. She also handles litigations on a pro bono basis, including referrals from Legal Action of Wisconsin.
Ms. Dodd earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2003). She also has degrees in bacteriology and genetics from the University of Wisconsin (B.S., with honors, 2000).
She is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
