Kim represents hospitals and health systems, physician practices and other types of healthcare providers. She counsels clients on a variety of legal issues including hospital-physician transactions and regulatory compliance matters concerning the Stark Law, the Anti-kickback Statute, and Medicare statutes and regulations. Kim is experienced in drafting and negotiating a number of healthcare related documents including professional services agreements, hospital-based physician agreements and employment agreements. She has participated in several government compliance investigations. Kim also has assisted in a variety of aspects involving the sales and acquisitions of hospitals and physician practices including drafting asset purchase documents and performing due diligence.
In 2006, Kim joined the firm as Of Counsel from Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P. Prior to entering private practice, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri Attorney General's Office from 1997 to 1999. Kim brings a unique experience to her health law practice by working for a number of years prior to law school as a medical social worker at a large metropolitan hospital.
