Kip is an associate in the Insurance and Reinsurance Department, where he represents insurance companies and their insured in complex products liability, toxic tort and business litigation. Kip has extensive litigation experience across several different industries, having previously represented national homebuilders, aircraft manufacturers, specialty biotechnology companies, and hydraulic pipeline component manufacturers. His courtroom experience includes multiple jury trials, and numerous arguments in support of various pre-trial and dispositive motions. Kip has additionally participated in several mediations and other dispute resolution activities that have resolved dozens of matters effectively for his clients. Notable Experience ˇ Has assisted in defending multiple companies in toxic tort litigation during trials and legal proceedings in California, Oregon, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. ˇ Defended one of the worlds largest private aircraft manufacturers in an action alleging fraud, breach of contract, and unfair and deceptive business practices. ˇ Successful representation of a biotechnology company facing property and personal injury liability in excess of $15 million. ˇ Prior representation of two of the nations largest homebuilders in various legal matters in Massachusetts. ˇ Conducted numerous lay and expert witness depositions. ˇ Prepared and defended corporate and expert witnesses. ˇ Recommended pre-trial and trial strategy to companies and insurers matters. ˇ Successfully represented an area dining establishment from liability during a two-week jury trial. Before Edwards Wildman Before joining Edwards Wildman, Kip was a litigator at a prominent Boston and Providence law firm. Besides Edwards Wildman Kip is an active alumnus of Middlebury College, involved in the Alumni Admissions Interview Program, career networking initiatives, Annual Fund fundraising efforts, and as a Reunion Committee Member. Kip is a member of St. Mary's Parish of Winchester, Massachusetts, and is a 20 year member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
