Biography

Kristen Reilly's practice focuses on complex civil litigation and class actions, representing primarily insurance companies and financial service providers throughout the United States, in both state and federal courts. Ms. Reilly's experience spans over numerous substantive areas, including RICO, sales practice actions, regulatory and state statutory violations, individual common law claims, and claims arising as a result of corporate-owned life insurance and annuity transactions. In litigating these large scale actions, Ms. Reilly has gained extensive experience drafting dispositive motions, managing large-scale electronic discovery, conducting and defending depositions, and preparing fact and expert witnesses for deposition and trial.

Ms. Reilly also devotes a substantial amount of time working on pro bono matters, including the representation of petitioners seeking to adopt children in the D.C. foster care system and victims of mortgage foreclosure scams.

· Negrete v. Allianz Life Ins. Co. of N. America, Nos. 05-6838, 2011 2909246 (C.D. Cal. July 18, 2011) (striking plaintiffs' partial motion for summary judgment and barring plaintiffs from alleging unpled UCL claims)

· Public Service Co. of Colorado v. Mallon, No. CV 07-762, slip op. (Colo. Dist. Ct. Oct. 22, 2008) (dismissing count asserted under the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act)
