Kristin Ivanco practices in the area of product liability with a concentration in asbestos matters. Prior to joining Wilson Elser, she worked for a social security law firm focusing on SSA appeals for the indigent. Kristin served as a post-bar clerk for Judge Jaime Roman, Sacramento Superior Court, where she was exposed to claimants dealing with the emotionally draining experience of dissolution, including matters of property division, child custody, domestic violence and other forms of abuse.
While in law school, Kristin worked hard to gain a diverse, practical background in the legal profession. In her experience with the labor and employment defense firm, she focused on cases relating to union members, including paramedics and board registered nurses, who were in danger of losing their licenses. Kristin also worked for a social security attorney, completing SSI and SSDI appeals for veterans and indigents, generally those with severe mental or physical disabilities. She was instrumental in implementing the One Day Divorce Clinic at the Self-Help Center at the Family Relations Courthouse in Sacramento Superior Court, helping people trapped in the system, some for months and others for years, to finalize their divorce and alleviate the backlog within the family court system.
