Kurt's practice has been rated superb by the AVVO Attorney rating service. He has also received the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating and was recently named a "rising star" in criminal defense by Washington Law and Politics magazine.
Kurt has handled hundreds of cases. His approach to trial is thorough preparation and investigation combined with aggressive trial advocacy. Through that approach, Kurt has successfully argued cases at trial and negotiated favorable pre-trial resolutions for countless clients.
Kurt is a member of NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers), WACDL (Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers), NORML (National Organizations for the Regulation of Marijuana Laws), and the King County Bar Association's Drug Policy Project. Kurt is also admitted to practice in Federal Court.
