Ben Morris is a partner at Starnes Davis Florie and currently serves as the firm's Hiring Partner. AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings.™ Highlights * Obtained a judgment as a matter of law in favor of a physician and a nurse practitioner (CRNP) on the basis of an efficient intervening cause in a case involving allegations of failure to monitor medication and properly supervise CRNP. * Obtained a defense verdict in favor of a hospital and nurses in a wrongful death case arising from alleged mismanagement of insulin therapy. * Drafted and negotiated nationwide Indemnification Agreement between a global pharmaceutical company and client. * Obtained a jury verdict in favor of defendant surgeon in litigation stemming from a complication arising after surgery that resulted in death. * Obtained a jury verdict in favor of surgeon in a three-week trial for complication that resulted in the patient's arm being amputated. * Obtained a complete dismissal in favor of defendant in combination medical malpractice/products liability case secondary to fungus contamination in breast implant. * Obtained a jury verdict in favor of surgeon for complication that resulted in the patient's leg being amputated. Honors And Awards Ben serves as a member of the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum. While in law school, Ben was elected as a member of the trial advocacy team. Community Involvement Ben serves as a Municipal Judge in Mountain Brook. He is also a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and serves in leadership roles in many civic organizations. Ben is actively involved in the Birmingham Athletic Partnership and attends Cathedral Church of the Advent. He also is involved in coaching and leadership roles related to youth sports.
