| Biography | Lacy graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973, and from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1976, and has been representing individuals and businesses in North Carolina's state and federal courts since then. He has been lead counsel on more than seventy jury trials over the years - serving as counsel for plaintiffs and defendants. Lacy has been board certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1995. He has received several awards and recognitions, including being named one of "The Best Lawyers in America (Personal Injury Law)" by Woodward/White; he was named one of "North Carolina's Best Lawyers" by NC Magazine; and has been designated as a "North Carolina Super Lawyer" in the area of personal injury by Charlotte Magazine. Lacy is very involved in professional and community activities throughout North Carolina. He has served as President of the Wake County Bar Association and the 10th Judicial District Bar, President of the YMCA of the Triangle Area, Inc., Clerk of Session of White Memorial Presbyterian Church, and Chair of Ravenscroft School Board of Trustees. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Triangle Community Foundation. The Triangle Business Journal named Lacy as one of area's 10 Super Volunteers in its January 1, 2010, edition for his work with the YMCA of the Triangle Area, Inc. (Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy)
