Joe currently serves as the President of IALDA, the International Amusement and Leisure Defense Association (www.ialda.org), a non-profit association of operators, attorneys, insurance professionals, experts and others actively engaged in representing the interests of the amusement, recreation, sports & leisure industries. He also serves on the Charter Board of Directors of the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA), an organization formed to advance and protect the interests of the retail and restaurant industries by developing strategies to reduce the number and severity of claims, manage common risks and enhance the defense of litigated matters. He is an active member of International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions(IAAPA), American Society of Testing & Materials(ASTM), F24 Committee (Amusement Rides & Devices),F08 Committee (Sports Equipment and Facilities), Litigation Counsel of America, and the Associated Builders & Contractors(ABC), New Orleans Chapter.

Joe was named as a Top Lawyer for 2010 by New Orleans Magazine and selected as a 2010 Leader in Law by New Orleans CityBusiness.

Joe's community and civic involvement includes service in the Knights of Columbus, St. Dominic Men’s Club, Lake Terrace Property Owners Assn. (President), and the Lake Terrace Crime Prevention District. He was appointed to the Louisiana Non-Flood Asset Management Authority and currently serves as its Vice-Chairman. He has been married for over 23 years and has three wonderful children.
