| Biography | Larry J. Bonney is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and member of the Real Estate and Finance & Financial Institutions Practices, as well as the Energy Industry Team. Mr. Bonney represents owners, lenders and developers in all aspects of real estate related transactions, including sales, purchases, leasing, construction and financing, and loan workouts and restructuring. Mr. Bonney has extensive experience in addressing real estate and title issues arising in the acquisition, development, construction and financing of wind, solar and other renewable energy projects across the U.S., including acquisition of real estate interests and development rights, permitting, and pre-acquisition, pre-construction or pre-finance land and development rights and entitlements review and audit. Mr. Bonney has worked on projects throughout the U.S. totaling several billion dollars in development costs. Mr. Bonney's practice also involves counseling manufacturing and service clients on all real estate related issues businesses encounter, including leasing and real estate portfolio management, facilities development, including construction, financing, governmental incentives procurement, zoning and permitting, real estate tax challenges, purchases, and sales. He also counsels clients in connection with real estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions, and has substantial experience in multi-state purchase, disposition, development and finance projects. Mr. Bonney has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system. A native of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Mr. Bonney graduated from University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, in 1988, and Luther College, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in 1985. As a two-time academic All American while at Luther College, Mr. Bonney received an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. He is a member of the Real Estate and Business Law Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Real Estate Section of both the Milwaukee Bar Association and the American Bar Association. |
