The firm was established in 2003 and is located in the former Masonic Hall at 317 West Market Street in Athens, Alabama.
Byrd R. Latham received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1964 and has been engaged in the practice of law in Limestone County since that time. He is past president of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association and is still active in the National Alumni Association affairs. He is the former Chairman of the University of Alabama Law School Foundation Board, and Chair of the Farrah Law Society. He has also served on the board of Reliance Bank and held the position of Chairman of the Board. He was one of the founders and board members of Citizen's Bank. Mr. Latham is member of the Defense Lawyer's Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the School Board Lawyer's Association.
James D. Moffatt received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1982 and has been practicing in Limestone County since that time. He is a Public Defender in Limestone County and is a member of many different associations, including the Council on Aging and CASA. Mr. Moffatt served on the Athens-Limestone Hospital Board of Directors for 15 years and is currently serving as Chairman of the Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority.
