Biography

Laura Cellucci is a principal in the Firm's Products Liability and Mass Tort Practice Groups. She represents large and small corporations in mass and toxic tort matters, class actions, products liability, and insurance coverage disputes. Although Laura's practice encompasses trial and appellate work both regionally and nationally, she spends most of her time managing and trying cases for numerous clients involved in cases pending in both the Baltimore City asbestos litigation and the Federal Multi-District Litigation relating to asbestos. In those cases, Laura also assumes a leadership role amongst the defense bar by operating as defense liaison counsel in numerous asbestos litigation matters.

In addition to Laura's extensive litigation practice, she also regularly represents her clients in appellate matters resulting in several significant and favorable reported opinions such as CSR, Ltd v. Taylor, 411 Md. 457, 983 A.2d 492 (2009) where Laura successfully defeated a jurisdictional claim against her client by establishing a lack of sufficient minimum contacts necessary to establish personal jurisdiction in Maryland over a foreign entity in violation of due process; Georgia-Pacific Corp. v. Benjamin, 394 Md. 59, 904 A.2d 511 (2006) where Laura obtained an important ruling on the "discovery rule" relating to statute of limitations; and Creveling v. Government Employees Ins. Co., 376 Md. 72, 828 A.2d 229 (2003), where Laura successfully defeated the Appellant's claim that the lower court erred in denying class certification.

Finally, Laura is also an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College in the Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and Public Service Institute.
