Laura Schulteis Kwaterski is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she focuses her practice on representing individuals and companies in securities class actions and other complex commercial disputes, including actions brought pursuant to the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). She also has experience representing clients in government enforcement matters, including matters before the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice and the federal antitrust enforcement agencies. Ms. Kwaterski is a member of the firm's Securities Enforcement & Litigation and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practices.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Kwaterski served as a law clerk to the Honorable William E. Callahan, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge, in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Ms. Kwaterski earned her law degree (cum laude, 2005) from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Law Review. She received her bachelor's degree, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.
Ms. Kwaterski is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association and the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. Ms. Kwaterski has been a member of the board of directors of the Association for Women Lawyers since 2007 and also serves on the board of directors for the National Conference of Women's Bar Associations.
