Lauren Blake-Borrell is a litigator with Davis LLP, specializing in wills and estates litigation, as well as general litigation. At various times since her call to the B.C. Bar, Ms. Blake-Borrell has also worked in-house for a major Trust Company, as well as for a national not-for-profit charity for periods since her call. Prior to joining Davis, she clerked for the B.C. Supreme Court.
Ms. Blake-Borrell has given numerous lectures on the areas of estate planning and estate litigation to other professionals, as well as to other groups, such as the Certified General Accountants Association and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. She advises corporate and individual trustees, as well as personal representatives, of their legal obligations and duties, and also acts for beneficiaries who question the actions of the trustees of their particular trusts.
Ms. Blake-Borrell has appeared before the B.C. Small Claims Court, the B.C. Supreme Court, and the B.C. Court of Appeal.
