[Case]
Spring 2011
Michael J. Hanlon and Lauren Fox
Blank Rome advised Tasty Baking Company in the employment aspects of its $34 million sale to Georgia-based Flowers Foods Inc. Tasty Baking Co. engaged the Firm last year to advise in labor negotiations when the workers at Tasty Baking's new plant at the Navy Yard complex organized. Blank Rome represented the company in the collective bargaining process with the certified workers, and was able, on a very tight timeline, to secure an acceptable agreement with the union, ensuring labor stability at the bakery, which was a key component leading up to the sale.
