Laurie Weinstein focuses her practice on commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.
While in law school, Laurie interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office where she drafted appellate briefs. She also interned at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Honorable Erik P. Kimball where she researched federal civil procedure issues.
Representative Experience
· Represented an owner and operator of horseracing and casino gaming facilities through jury trial on a breach of contract claim
· Represented an insurance agency and employees in defense of claims for breach of employment agreements, tortious interference with contractual relationships, and theft of trade secrets
· Represented court-appointed receivers in various commercial receiverships
Professional and Community Involvement
· Board of Directors, Young Lawyers Section, Broward County Bar Association (2011)
- Assisted in raising $30,000 for the Tracey McPharlin Dependency Pro Bono Initiative
