The Lauro Law Firm was founded in 1994 by John F. Lauro. A former Assistant United States Attorney in New York, Mr. Lauro began his career at an international law firm in New York. Mr. Lauro practices white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. He has successfully represented corporate and individual clients in a variety of sophisticated matters, including those involving government fraud, public corruption, healthcare, securities, tax, money laundering, financial fraud, racketeering, environmental law, defense contracting fraud and insurance fraud. Although Mr. Lauro is a trial attorney, he spends considerable time resolving matters with prosecutors and government regulators. Mr. Lauro has wide experience dealing with potential criminal issues in connection with civil litigation. Most recently, Mr. Lauro obtained acquittals in the first "dot-com" securities prosecution brought by the Department of Justice in New York City and in a racketeering case brought against an entertainment executive by the State of Florida.
