Michael Calogero was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he excelled in academics and athletics. Michael comes from a family steeped in legal tradition. His father, Pascal F. Calogero, Jr., has served as an Associate Justice on the Louisiana Supreme Court beginning in 1972, and he served as Chief Justice from 1990 through his retirement in 2008.
Michael attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating from LSU in 1985 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration. Then, he attended Loyola University School of Law from 1990 to 1993. While in law school, Michael's academic accomplishments included membership in the Loyola Law Review, a distinction that is offered to those who rank in the top 10% of the class. He graduated in the top 3% of his law school class.
After graduating from Loyola Law School and working for a law firm in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1994 through 1997, the Law Office of Michael G. Calogero, LLC was established in January 1998. This full service law firm services small business and individual clients in personal injury and insurance litigation, estate planning, successions, wills, living wills, power of attorney, family law, criminal law and other areas of practice. Michael is a Notary Public and he has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association since 1994.
