Practice/Industry Group Overview
When we discuss the matter of contempt in the probate court, we are probably discussing civil contempt instead of criminal contempt. The civil contempt means that there is a violation of a court order or judgment (temporary order or divorce judgment), and you are asking the court to force compliance of the order/judgment. The usual contempt that is alleged is for failure to pay support. I will be happy to meet with you to discuss your unique circumstances.
