About this office: Established as Garrett & Garrett in 1992, we trace our ancestry through John B. Oliver (participant in the original Virginia Bar Counsel) all the way back to Bedford's two Supreme Court Justices, Edward Calohill Burks and Martin Parks Burks. Our leader, Harry W. Garrett, Jr. has served this community in both governmental offices and private practice since 1961. He enjoys the admiration of his peers as a top-flight trial lawyer and orator. Garrett & Garrett offers elite professional services in a number of disciplines while continuing to provide small-town attention to developing personal relationships. With seventeen years on the job, Carter B. Garnett draws on his vast trial experience to focus his practice on criminal, traffic and personal injury law. In February 2008, he obtained a jury award in the amount of $3,000,000.00 (reduced judicially to $850,000.00).
