Lester F. Wilkinson Jr. is a member of the Real Estate and Business Law Practice Groups. His practice concentrates on real estate and business law together with commercial finance and lending including general legal counseling and management of legal issues for some of Maine's top companies.

Mr. Wilkinson has worked collaboratively and creatively with partners at Bernstein Shur, as well as other counsel and clients, on some of the largest and most complex commercial transactions in the state of Maine. He has served as local counsel for major clients with other national legal representation or other out of state attorney-client relationships in need of transaction-specific assistance in the state of Maine.

Mr. Wilkinson prides himself in offering his clients the values, personal dedication, efficiencies and pragmatic approaches of a small-firm practitioner combined with the more complex skills sets that develop from being a member of one of New England's premier law firms.

Mr. Wilkinson is a teacher and has lectured on real estate law at the University of Maine at Augusta and has been a presenter of CLE programs on real estate brokerage topics for the Maine State Bar Association and the Maine Association of Realtors.
Mr. Wilkinson is a past president of the Maine State Bar Association, and a past board chair of Maine General Health Associates and The Children's Center. Mr. Wilkinson presently serves on the board of directors of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Augusta Board of Trade. As the prior managing partner of the firm's Augusta office, and proud recipient of the firm's “Unsung Hero” award and the Barnett I. Shur award for outstanding service, he has continued to devote much of his time to area organizations.

Mr. Wilkinson is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his work in real estate law and corporate law and is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell.
