Linda concentrates her practice on the defense of employers in Delaware workers' compensation matters. She has experience representing all types of employers and carriers, ranging from small employers with only a few employees to Fortune 100 companies. Linda counsels her clients on all aspects of Delaware workers' compensation law.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Linda served as a deputy attorney general for the Delaware Department of Justice. In this role, she prosecuted both criminal and civil matters, and advised various state agencies. While in the Civil Division of the DOJ, Linda represented the Delaware Division of Industrial Affairs, litigating hundreds of Labor Law Enforcement matters. She also sat with the Industrial Accident Board (IAB) on hundreds of cases, providing legal advice and drafting decisions. Linda was then appointed by the Delaware Secretary of Labor to the position of workers' compensation hearing officer. During this time, she wrote decisions for the IAB and, upon stipulation of the parties, sat in place of the IAB, hearing and deciding those matters.
Today, Linda actively appears before the IAB on a variety of legal issues and types of injuries, from crushes to burns and everything in between.
Linda received her B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware and her juris doctor from the Widener University School of Law.
