Lisa Constantine is a partner in our Litigation Group in Toronto. Her practice focuses on business disputes, banking litigation, product liability, professional negligence, administrative law and litigation on behalf of Universities. Ms. Constantine's commercial practice involves acting for corporate clients in many areas of the law, including public law, banking, product liability, class actions, contracts, competition law, disability insurance, and employment. Ms. Constantine provides advice to a number of Canada's Schedule I Banks, and major Canadian and multi-national corporations. Ms. Constantine has extensive experience in professional liability cases, including advising physicians on professional negligence claims. Ms. Constantine also has significant experience in representing physicians in disputes with hospitals and against the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Ms Constantine has appeared before all levels of the Ontario Courts and the Federal Courts. Ms. Constantine is regularly invited to speak on a number of topics, including professional liability and banking issues. Ms. Constantine received her BA from the University of Western Ontario in 1989. She was awarded her LLB from the University of Western Ontario (with distinction) in 1992. While at law school, Ms. Constantine received numerous awards, including prizes in civil litigation, income taxation and an entrance scholarship to the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law. Ms. Constantine was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. |
