Lori Rubin is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice and the Health Care Industry Team.
Ms. Rubin's practice includes a variety of complex civil litigation matters as well as matters related to investigations and enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and other regulatory bodies. She also focuses on assisting clients with regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Rubin worked at Kalu Yala, a social enterprise project to build a modern sustainable village in the rainforests of Panama. She assisted with research and writing involving real estate law, securities law, and empowerment structures for small and local businesses. During law school, Ms. Rubin was a summer associate with Foley and a clerk for the Georgia Legal Services Program.
Ms. Rubin earned her law degree from Duke University School of Law (J.D., 2010) where she was an executive editor of the Duke Forum for Law and Social Change Journal; internal programming chair for the Jewish Law Students Association; and a mentor for the Duke Law Mentorship Program. Ms. Rubin earned a degree, with distinction, in English language and literature from the University of Virginia (B.A., 2007). While attending the University of Virginia, she was part of the Echols Scholars honors program and received numerous honors and recognitions, including Phi Beta Kappa. She was also the head program director of the HELP Line; the director of Women's Concerns for her sorority Alpha Phi; and a founding member of the Jewish Leadership Council.
Ms. Rubin is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and before the United States District Courts for the District of Columbia, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.
