Lori Armstrong Halber is a partner in the Philadelphia office. With an eye towards practical results, she represents management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law.
Lori has extensive experience defending employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act, with particular class and collective action experience.
With respect to traditional labor matters, Lori provides labor relations counseling and defends clients in grievance and unfair labor practice claims.
She also has experience in the immigration field counseling corporate clients regarding compliance with business immigration regulations under the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and the U.S. Department of Labor and representing them in related enforcement proceedings.
Lori regularly provides preventive counseling and training on topics such as the respectful workplace, performance management and union avoidance.
Lori was listed as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2007 and has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2014. In 2006 she was selected as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by the Legal Intelligencer.

Lead attorney representing specialty construction company in wage and hour collective action.
Obtained denial of conditional certification in a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action for a national retirement community.
Successfully defended national transportation company in disability discrimination litigation brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Lead attorney representing and representing healthcare company in sex and race hostile work environment litigation brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Obtained summary judgment for employer in an action under Section 301 of the National Labor Relations Act.
Won motion to dismiss national origin claim for energy client.
Counseled a large gaming client to victory in a union campaign.
Co-counsel in successful defense of unfair labor practice charges alleging 8(a)(1) and 8(a)(3) violations in which the NLRB sought injunctive relief.
Lead attorney defending software company in DOL enforcement proceeding regarding alleged H-1b violations.
