Professional Experience
Ms. Braender is chair of the Life Sciences and Healthcare practice group, and has experience in representing pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions, physicians, and medical group practices in a variety of matters. She has served as lead counsel in a number of these matters, including structuring and negotiating acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliation agreements, managed-care arrangements, and tax-exempt financing, and in matters of advice on medical staff issues, fraud and abuse issues, licensing, and regulatory matters.
Ms. Braender's corporate practice involves general commercial law, including stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, corporate reorganizations, general and limited partnership matters, limited liability company matters, joint ventures, equipment leasing, product manufacturing and distribution agreements, and employment and consulting agreements. She also counsels clients with regard to private placements and asset-based and unsecured financings.
Ms. Braender has experience in intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright matters, computer software and patent licensing, distribution agreements, and technology development agreements. She also advises clients with regard to construction law, including architects and contractors agreements, design/build agreements, and turnkey projects.
