Louisa Marion is an associate in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the firm's International Dispute Resolution and White Collar Groups.
Louisa recently represented a security contracting firm in a federal trial against alleged violations of the False Claims Act, resulting in a jury verdict for the defense on all counts. Other recent work includes the representation of a United States investor in arbitration proceedings against a Middle Eastern sovereign for violations of a bilateral investment treaty, representation of a large international corporation in a criminal antitrust investigation, and pro-bono representation of a U-Visa applicant.
Louisa received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2010. While at Michigan, she served as Editor in Chief of the Michigan Journal of International Law and as Vice President of the International Law Society. She also participated in the Women's Law Students Association and the Campbell Moot Court Competition. Louisa graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in French.
Louisa is currently on a leave of absence from the firm and is working at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia. She is expected to return to the firm in October 2012.
