Lovells has been assisting clients in Vietnam with a diverse range of business needs since the beginning of Doi Moi reforms. In recognition of our commitment in Vietnam, we were the first international law firm to be granted a branch licence in Ho Chi Minh City in 1996. At the end of January 2009 Lovells opened a new office in Hanoi. The length of time for which we have been operating in Vietnam, together with our close working relationship with several local firms has given us an in-depth knowledge of the local market and a good understanding of what it takes to close deals in Vietnam.
The Vietnam practice advises a broad range of clients in the real estate, financial services, manufacturing and distribution and other commercial sectors in Vietnam and has successfully closed transactions and the financing of projects in Vietnam.
