Lucy graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1995 with a B.A. in English and Political Studies. She spent a year working and travelling in New Zealand and Australia before returning to Manitoba in 1996, when she completed a Diploma program in Environmental Technology at Red River Community College. Lucy worked in the environmental sector until 1998, when she entered the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba, graduating with an LLB in 2001. Lucy was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2002.
After articling and practising at a Winnipeg firm, Lucy moved to Portage la Prairie in 2005, where she continues to live and practice law.
Lucy's law practice includes residential and agricultural real estate transactions, wills and estate planning, and estate administration.
In addition to her practice in Portage la Prairie, Lucy operates the firm's Gladstone branch.
Lucy has volunteered with the Law Society's Bar Admission course (CPLED) as a Learning Group Facilitator in the practice areas of Practice Management and Drafting Contracts. She has also volunteered as a board member for the Portage and District Chamber of Commerce, and a Guider for the Girl Guides of Manitoba.
Lucy is the mother of twin boys, Ben and Jack.
