Transactions and bankruptcy attorney Lynn Sherman joined Adams and Reese in 2012 as a Partner in the firm's Tampa office. Practicing law since 1983, Lynn represents financial institutions, special servicers of securitized commercial mortgages, creditors, trustees, landlords, debtors, and other parties in all aspects of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, loan modifications and restructuring, foreclosures, enforcement of judgments, enforcement of security interests, and creditors' rights litigation.
Licensed in both Florida and New York, Lynn has been recognized among the top Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights attorneys by Florida Super Lawyers®, Best Lawyers in America®, Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite, and listed among "Tampa Bay's Top Attorneys" by Tampa Bay Magazine.

Lynn's representative experience includes:
· Representation of financial institutions and major CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) special servicers in foreclosures, restructuring, defending lender liability counterclaims, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including stay relief, cash collateral, post-petition financing, dismissal, and obtaining title to assets through contested confirmation of creditor's plans of reorganization.
· Representation of CMBS special servicers in litigation involving yield maintenance minimums, recourse provisions, and springing guaranties.
· Representation of bidders in connection with Section 363 asset sales in national Chapter 11 cases involving developers and national homebuilders.
· Representation of secured lenders in enforcement of Article 9 security interests and commercially reasonable sales of collateral.
Lynn is active in the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a member of the Executive Council of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar. She is a former adjunct professor at her alma mater, Stetson University College of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 1983. Lynn also received an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 1989.
Lynn received her bachelor of science at Florida Southern College in 1980.
In her spare time, Lynn enjoys traveling, kayaking, and boating.
