Professional Experience:
During Judge Vogelson's 17-year judicial career, he sat in all divisions of the trial court, presiding over the Civil Division and the Chancery Division, including the Probate Part (wills, trusts, estates and guardianships). As Presiding Judge, he managed and settled thousands of cases and tried a wide variety of matters in many areas of the law. In the Civil Division, a large number of cases involved personal injury, civil wrongs, contract and commercial law, insurance (including UM/UIM), discrimination and whistleblower cases, and professional malpractice (including medical). In Chancery, corporate, business, real estate, bankruptcy, mortgage, employment, unfair competition, low income housing, environmental and probate matters regularly appeared on his docket.
After graduation from Rutgers University School of Law and a judicial clerkship, Judge Vogelson was a successful litigator in private practice in Camden and Haddonfield, New Jersey from 1965 to 1991. He represented public clients including county agencies and authorities, and zoning and school boards, and was an assistant prosecutor trying major crimes. In the private sector, his clients were highly diversified with matters involving real estate (planning, zoning, development), corporate, employment contracts, business, commercial, personal injury, bankruptcy, family matters, and criminal law.
A trained mediator and arbitrator, he is a member of the New Jersey R. 1:40 Roster of Mediators and Arbitration Panels, as well as the Mediation and Arbitration Panels of the Federal District of New Jersey. He is a past member of the Supreme Court's Complementary Dispute Resolution Committee, and presently serves as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Judicial Evaluation Commission.
He has served as a member of the New Jersey State Legislative Reapportionment Commission, Director of the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees, and the New Jersey Public Employees Compensation Commission.
His broad experience as a judge, successful litigator and public official uniquely qualifies him to act as mediator, arbitrator, litigation manager, special master, neutral and hearing officer.

Judge Vogelson is an active member of the community. He is a member of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County, having previously served on the boards of the South Jersey Performing Arts Center and Goodwill Industries, and as president of the Camden County Friends of the Park Commission. He is also a former member of the Jewish Community Center of South Jersey's board of managers.
