The Firm has achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell. The law firm of MacElree Harvey, Ltd., is one of the oldest and most respected firms in Chester County. The firm as it exists today was formed by the merger of two Chester County firms in 1973. The original MacElree firm was begun, though, in 1890 by Mr. Wilmer MacElree.
Our law firm is one of the largest in Chester County with over 25 practicing attorneys. We are a general practice firm with experience and expertise in commercial litigation, foreclosures, collections, bankruptcy, lender liability litigation and business and banking law advice. We have substantial transactional experience in real estate, land use, zoning, lending work and debt restructuring. In addition, our firm currently represents many individual and corporate clients in professional malpractice litigation. Our attorneys also represent clients in a variety of family law matters.
Our location in the county seat of Chester County gives us excellent access to the county legal system. We are able to respond to requests for information and documentation in a timely manner because of this proximity. In addition, we are connected by on-line computer to the records of Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties and are able to access them at minimal or no additional charge to our client. The firm has foreign language capabilities as well (German, French, Italian, Spanish).
