Malcolm McLeod practises all aspects of intellectual property law, including trade-marks, copyright, industrial design, patents and related competition law. He also practises in the field of law relating to payment, charge and credit cards and the operation of payment card networks.
Mr. McLeod appears before the courts of Quebec and Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada in leading Canadian patent and trade-mark cases, as well as the Patent Appeal Board and the Opposition Board of the Trade-marks Office. He also deals with the Copyright Office and the Industrial Design Office. He advises multinational clients on protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights, their licensing needs with respect to trade-marks, patents, copyright and trade secrets/confidential information and the law applicable to payment cards.
