Multidisciplinary Approach
With such a depth of attorney skill, we take a multidisciplinary approach to achieve our clients’ goals in litigation. Before litigation, we regularly counsel clients on ways to minimize potential liability exposure, determine other litigation risks and objectives, or assess litigation strategies in light of relevant judicial trends. Our litigation attorneys frequently resolve disputes through arbitration, mediation, conciliation and other less formal means of negotiated settlement that avoid expensive and time-consuming court actions.
When litigation is necessary, each case is handled by one or more litigators who are specially chosen for that matter, and who work with selected colleagues from throughout the firm for in-depth assistance on the related business, scientific and economic issues. Our attorneys conduct trials and appeals in federal and state courts and arbitrate in national and international forums. We are admitted before such specialized tribunals as the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Claims Court, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals. In addition, we appear regularly in arbitration and administrative agency proceedings.
In cases that reach the courts, we offer clients the size and experience necessary to conduct full-scale litigation – quickly if needed – that protects or advances their interests.
