Mani Sheik is an associate with Curiale Hirschfeld Kraemer and practices in the firm's San Francisco office. His practice involves wage and hour litigation (including class action litigation), wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation. Mr. Sheik also advises and counsels employers and conducts internal investigations. Mr. Sheik received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall), and his Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. In law school, Mr. Sheik served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable James Lambden of the California Court of Appeal for the First District of California, Division Two. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sheik was an epidemiologist and international health worker.
Representative Matters
Mr. Sheik has experience representing employers in a wide variety of employment-related litigation, including single- and multiple-plaintiff age and sex discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination actions. Mr. Sheik has successfully represented employers before administrative agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Sheik has also drafted employee handbooks, personnel policies and employment and severance agreements.
