Marc Duchesne is a partner at our Montréal office. Marc was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1981. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Law School.

Professional Experience
· Marc's practice consists mainly in advising financial institutions, creditors, receivers, monitors and trustees and representing their interests before the courts in matters of realization of security, bankruptcy, corporate turnaround, recovery of assets and liability actions.
· His insolvency practice includes assisting debtors and stakeholders in restructuring and insolvencies.
· He also represents owners, contractors and surety companies in construction matters.

· Acted for aircraft lessors in the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings commenced by Nationair
· Acted for aircraft lessors in the CCAA and subsequently bankruptcy proceedings commenced by Canada 3000
· Acted for aircraft lessors as well as Canadian and U.S. aircraft part suppliers in the CCAA proceedings commenced by Air Canada
· Acted for the monitor in the CCAA proceedings commenced by PCI Chemical Inc., as part of a cross-border insolvency restructuring
· Acted for the monitor in the CCAA proceedings commenced by Eicon Networks
· Represented a real estate developer, Harbourteam Developments Inc. in their restructuring under the CCAA
· Represented J.B. Lefebvre Ltée, a shoe retail chain in their CCAA restructuring
· Acted for the monitor in the CCAA proceedings commenced by PanGeo Pharma Inc., a public pharmaceutical company
· Acted for the monitor in CCAA proceedings commenced by Cinégroupe Inc. and subsidiaries, an animated film production company
· Represented lenders and financial institutions in numerous lenders liability cases
· Acted for the liquidator of the Norbourg and Évolution Mutual Funds
· Acted for the monitor in the Canadian Asset-Backed Paper (ABCP) proceedings
· Represented a secured creditor in the cross-border restructuring of Quebecor World Inc.
