Chair of the Firm's International Practice Group and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee, Mr. Cornblatt focuses his practice in corporate and commercial transactions and disputes, with special emphasis on sales and sales financing, computer and high technology and international transactions. He also has broad experience as general corporate counsel and deals with the corporate and commercial issues that confront business and nonprofit clients. Mr. Cornblatt's experience in general corporate, creditors' rights and international law enables him to work with the Firm's Tax and Trusts and Estates departments in creating vehicles to protect clients' assets. Areas Of Experience International Matters Mr. Cornblatt advises U.S. residents with respect to activities overseas. He has extensive experience in international commercial transactions and has also regularly acted as U.S. counsel for foreign businesses and individuals. He has worked with a U.S. public corporation in establishing a gaming enterprise in the United Kingdom, directing the development of an organizational and complex international tax structure and obtaining and putting in place a 3,500-unit, $20 million computer system. Domestic Representation Among his domestic representations, Mr. Cornblatt handles a number of transactions each year for computer hardware and software systems and recently represented a major computer consulting organization in its merger into a nationwide consulting network. In U.S. nonprofit activities, Mr. Cornblatt represents one of the largest private foundations in the region and has served as counsel for the sale of a component of a hospital system for more than $100 million. U.S. Counsel for Foreign Businesses, Individuals Mr. Cornblatt worked with a U.S. public corporation in establishing a gaming enterprise in the United Kingdom, directing development of an organizational and complex international tax structure and obtaining and putting in place a 3,500-unit, $20 million computer system.
