Margaret A. Bennett

Margaret Bennett concentrates in the areas of family law and divorce litigation and practices in DuPage, Will and Cook Counties. Ms. Bennett serves as a Family Court Mediator for the DuPage court system and is a specially trained Collaborative Law Attorney.

Margaret Bennett has been named to the Super Lawyers list as one of the State of Illinois' "Super Lawyers" in the area of Family Law for the year 2012. Margaret Bennett has received legislative appointment to the Family Law Study Committee of the State of Illinois (2008 -). The Committee was formed by the State of Illinois House of Representatives to study and revise the provisions of the state law relating to child support, spousal maintenance, the allocation of assets and child custody. Ms. Bennett has also been appointed to serve as a Member of the Family Law Section Council for the Illinois State Bar Association (2011 -). She was also appointed to serve on the Illinois Child Support Advisory Committee (2010 -). The committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing the child support guidelines and making recommendations to the State legislature.

Margaret Bennett is a member of the American Inns of Court and is part of Team 5 of the DuPage Inns of Court. On April 25, 2012, Ms. Bennett participated with Team 5 in a presentation before the members of the American Inns of Court and spoke on the topic "How Far Can the Government Go Under the 4th Amendment in Using Modern Technology to Investigate and Track Suspects Without a Warrant?"
