Margaret-Rose Sales is an associate in Mayer Brown's Government and International Trade group. Margaret-Rose focuses her practice in the areas of international trade, telecommunications, and lobbying disclosure and ethics laws. She has experience in a wide array of international trade issues including anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings, export controls, economic sanctions, customs compliance, litigation, and World Trade Organization (WTO) disputes. Margaret-Rose also counsels clients on international trade policy issues in the United States and in foreign markets.
Margaret-Rose advises US and foreign telecommunications carriers on regulatory issues with the Federal Communications Commission. Her experience includes drafting regulatory pleadings, comments, and license applications. In addition, Margaret-Rose has counseled clients on telecommunications regulations in foreign countries and WTO legal obligations related to telecommunications.
Margaret-Rose provides advice to clients on compliance with lobbying disclosure laws, House and Senate ethics rules, and campaign finance laws.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Margaret-Rose worked in the Office of International Affairs of US Customs and Border Protection, where she worked on the negotiation of bilateral customs mutual assistance agreements.
Margaret-Rose joined Mayer Brown in 2007. She speaks conversational French.
