Mark Wasserman has been the Managing Partner of Sutherland for 12 years. He leads the firm's lawyers and staff in collaborating to provide high quality, efficient and creative service to the firm's clients.
With more than 30 years of experience, Mark is a seasoned corporate lawyer who has represented and advised private and public companies, both in the United States and internationally. He counsels clients on a broad spectrum of business matters, especially mergers and acquisitions and issues relating to federal and state securities laws.
Prior to being elected Managing Partner in 2005, Mark served as co-chair of Sutherland's Corporate Transactional team and was a member of its Executive Committee.
Served as primary U.S. mergers and acquisitions counsel for United States Filter Corporation, completing more than 150 acquisitions and dispositions over a 15-year period.
Represented Siemens Corporation in the acquisition of Monosep Corporation, a designer, engineer and manufacturer of water treatment equipment for the oil and gas industry.
Sutherland represents United States Filter Corporation in its $993 million sale to Siemens AG.
