· Represented multiple renewable fuels companies regarding capital reorganization and SEC deregistration.
· Represented a renewable fuels company in the acquisition of an operating renewable fuels plant.
· Represented a Rural Service Area cellular operator in its acquisition by another entity.
· Represented a telecommunications service provider in its acquisition of another telecommunications company.
· Represented a privately held bank holding company and its subsidiary bank regarding secured and unsecured commercial loan transactions.

Mark regularly presents on topics of interest to his clients. Most recently, he has presented on topics such as:
· The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act), which significantly impacts securities regulation in the United States.
· Iowa legislation regarding E15 misfueling liability protection for retailers.
· Agricultural cooperative association capitalization strategies.

ACADEMICS
Mark graduated from Iowa State University as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating with highest distinction and as a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, Mark also served as Senior Note Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems.
