Mark Christopher is chair of the firm's Private Client Department. Mark focuses on developing long term relationships with many of his clients and their families and in that regard often serves as a professional executor and/or trustee for them. He also concentrates in all facets of estate planning and trust and estate administration, focusing on wealth transfer tax planning strategies and related income tax planning.
Mark's practice also includes substantial depth in planning for partners with interests in private equity funds, for families with members who have complex special needs (and is a parent of a young adult with special needs), for families with cross-border planning issues, and in fiduciary litigation.
Mark has a very active role with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, where he currently serves as a Regent of the College and on numerous College committees, and where he just completed a term as the Massachusetts State Chair.
Co-editor of the book, Drafting Irrevocable Trusts in Massachusetts and a contributing author to A Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Massachusetts and Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts, all published by MCLE.
