Mark Christopher is a partner in the Firm's Private Client Group and the former chair of the Trusts and Estates Group at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP. Mark concentrates in all facets of estate planning and trust and estate administration, focusing on wealth transfer tax planning strategies. He also spends significant time serving as a professional trustee. Mark is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, where he currently serves on the Massachusetts State Committee. He lectures frequently on estate planning and fiduciary matters at seminars for the BBA, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. (MCLE) where he is a member of the curriculum advisory committee, and the Federal Tax Institute. Mark is a co-editor of the book, Drafting Irrevocable Trusts in Massachusetts and a contributing author to A Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Massachusetts and Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts, all published by MCLE. He is also a member and past-moderator of the Boston Estate Planning and Probate Forum, and past director of the Boston Estate Planning Council. Other Distinctions Awarded the Citation of Distinguished Service from the BBA in September 2002 for his leadership in organizing the September 11th Assistance Project, which provided free legal assistance to families of the victims of the September 11th tragedy. Mark is listed in the Trusts & Estates section of The Best Lawyers in America. Widely regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the United States, The Best Lawyers lists are compiled through a peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
