Mark is a member of the Real Estate, Development and Construction industry group, where he advises and represents clients on various aspects of real estate transactions. Mark regularly assists clients on matters relating to public financing tools, such as economic development incentives, financing incentives, community improvement districts and transportation development districts.

Mark brings complex commercial litigation experience in federal and state courts to the real estate team. Mark's experience includes representing clients in banking and finance, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, employment, healthcare, higher education, intellectual property, products liability, whistleblower and real estate litigation matters. His experience also includes advising and representing clients on regulatory compliance issues and in administrative and agency proceedings.

Before joining the firm, Mark served as senior associate counsel and administrator of student affairs for a multicampus for-profit higher education corporation with locations nationwide. In addition to providing day-to-day counseling on a number of legal issues, he conducted investigations and also litigated and arbitrated matters related to education and employment issues with favorable results. While at the firm, Mark has continued to gain experience in the education industry, including serving a client on-site as sole in-house counsel for an extended period of time.

Mark is active in the firm's pro bono practice. He has successfully obtained injunctive relief for clients as well as represented clients in domestic, landlord-tenant and other various matters. Mark obtained mediator certification and during law school mediated landlord-tenant cases in St. Louis City.
