Mark Soifer is a partner with more than 30 years of legal experience in all facets of commercial and business law. As a member of Cooper Levenson's Commercial Litigation practice group, Mark's concentrations include business and commercial litigation of every type - from real estate and small business matters to insurance coverage, litigation, and probate matters.
Mark has won settlements for developers, physicians and attorneys on disability income insurance claims and has successfully represented real estate brokers, developers, and accountants through complex commercial and business disputes. He has represented numerous corporate clients through oppression suits, shareholder disputes, and in contract and title disputes.
Mark has an extensive practice before the Chancery Courts, especially on general equity matters. In addition, Mark is named on the roster of mediators for the New Jersey Judiciary. His primary concentration is on commercial, business and real estate matters, including minority shareholder disputes, insurance and professional liability issues. He has often served as an arbitrator and mediator of commercial matters throughout southern New Jersey.
A graduate of Brown University, (A.B. 1970) and Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University (J.D., cum laude, 1974), Mark is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and to the New Jersey United States District Court. Mark is a barrister and member of the Executive Committee of the Vincent S. Haneman American Inn of Court. He serves as a Trustee on the Board of the Bay Atlantic Symphony.
